1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Archeryline Co. (“Archeryline”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through archeryline.com. Archeryline is an archery factory and online retailer that ships products from China to customers in Australia.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) when we collect personal information from individuals in Australia.
2. Information we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to run the store:
- Order information: your name, delivery address, billing address, email, phone number, order history and product preferences.
- Payment information: handled by our payment provider on their secure infrastructure. We receive a transaction reference, the amount, and the success status. We do not see or store full credit-card numbers or CVVs.
- Support correspondence: the content of emails, WhatsApp messages, contact-form submissions and any photos you send us.
- Website usage: device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, referrer URL and basic analytics events. Collected through cookies and similar technologies described in the Cookies section.
- Marketing preferences: if you opt in, the email address and any preferences you set for our newsletter.
You do not need to create an account to buy from us.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfil your order, including taking payment and arranging delivery.
- Provide customer support, including pre-sales draw-weight advice and returns.
- Send transactional emails: confirmations, dispatch notices, return updates.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- Comply with our legal obligations (tax, consumer law, dispute resolution).
- With your opt-in consent, send our newsletter with setup tips, kit guides and product news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
- Improve the website and our products through aggregate, de-identified usage analysis.
5. International transfers
Because Archeryline operates from China and uses international shipping carriers, payment providers and cloud services, your personal information will be transferred to and stored in countries outside Australia, including China and the country in which our service providers are based.
Where we transfer personal information outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet legal obligations:
- Order records: 7 years from the date of the order, to comply with Australian tax-record requirements.
- Support correspondence: up to 3 years from the last interaction.
- Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe, at which point your email is removed from active mailings within 7 days.
- Website analytics: aggregated, de-identified data is kept for up to 26 months.
8. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you (APP 12).
- Correct information that is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete or misleading (APP 13).
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations.
- Make a complaint if you think we have mishandled your information (see Section 11).

9. How we protect your information
We protect your information using a combination of:
- HTTPS encryption on every page of the website.
- PCI-compliant payment processing handled entirely by our payment provider.
- Access controls so that only staff who need to see your information can see it.
- Regular software updates and security patching of the systems we operate.
No online system is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
10. Children
Archeryline does not knowingly sell to anyone under 18. The website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first at info@archeryline.com with the words “Privacy complaint” in the subject line. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version shown on this page is the current version. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by a notice on the website.
